Week 58 8/3/15

8.3.15
Hey Yall!

This week has been full of miracles! Blessings raining down from heaven! Its been awesome!!

Me and elder platt decided to join on the mission band wagon by doing a 70 hour week (that means we set aside extra time, shortened studies, got up earlier, and stayed out a bit longer so that we could be prosyliting for 70 hours!!! instead of the normal 54 ish), and i could not have imagined at the start, how many blessings truly can come when you sacrifice, even just a little. We worked every day as much as we could. We tried to make every hour worth it, talking to Everyone that we could. It was hard at times, hunger or thirst is hard to overcome when its super hot and humid, but we perservered! We were blessed with not only great success in new potentials and great lessons and progress shown with our investigators, but also in a vast amount of food! We litterally have not had to use any of our foood accept for breakfast. Members and Non-Members a like provided for us while we were out and about so that we could eat on the go and be able to use ALL of our time to teaching the gospel!

I have a really cool Emmaus expirience that came from the 70 hour week. Or at least, i beleive it is a blessing as a result of it. This morning Elder Platt and I received a call from a member saying that her friend (who is a parapelegic) may be needing a surgery to save her from becoming a quadrapelegic very soon and had asked if we could give her a blessing. Naturally we went over, and talked to this amazing woman named Kati. We talked and taught a lesson on what blessings were and what the importance of proper athority in blessings was. The spirit engulfed the room as elder platt pronounced a blessing upon her and then again was present as i have never felt it before as the member testified to their friend about the divinity of the Book of mormon and the truthfulness of the restored gospel. This woman has had mormons all throughout her life, in school, as friends, and she truly felt the spirit. I do not know what will happen with her in the comming weeks, but i do know that she felt the spirit and that she is ready for the gospel to touch her life. Sometimes we work hard for a long time and never receive blessings, but my testimony has been built so much stronger this last week that as we sacrifice for the lord. he will bless us with the opurtunity to help others, and as we have those opurtunitys, we ourselves will be changed and strengthend. I love this gospel so much.

So, that was really how my week went, it was hard, it was hot, but it was worth it. Im willing to give it all for the lord if i can just help out one person. I love all of you!
