Hey
everyone!
Well,
another week has just flown by here in alabama!!! I cant tell you how fast time
seems to fly when your on a mission. It feels like just yesterday i was leaving
my home and now ive been out longer than 3 months!
In
that three months though i have learned just an incredible amount! How to speak
spanish (mostly/kind of) for one is huge for me! it actually is a really
beautiful language too! some things are way easier to say in spanish and
spanish music is just beautiful! I can truly testify of the lords hand in that
one! If any of you knew me before i left you wouldve thought it was a joke.
"Kieran speaking spanish? NO WAY!!!" haha but i know that because of
the lords help i am able to comunicate and help those around me become closer
to christ and i am so grateful for that opportunity :)
i
know i probably say this like every week, but i really encourage everyone who
is able to go on a mission! you will not regret it! its just been one of the
best expiriences of my life thus far and i have so much more to experience! i'm
way excited to continue to learn and grow! :)
Ok,
so as for this week we have been doing awesome! we have been working with
a few investigators that are progressing! Martin and Maria. We also had one of
the coolest new investigators ever! his names roberto and he comes to our
english class but really wants to know about the gospel as well, he lives far
away (in hampton cove about 30 minutes away) but is so committed to learn that
he gets a ride to huntsville, then stays here all day just to be able to go to
english class in the evening. We are hoping to be able to teach some gospel
lessons during the day while he is in town then english at night. He also is
interested in church and so hopefully this coming week he will be really
progressing! we were very excited to work with him and are very excited to
continue working with him.
Also
this week i made kind of a reinstated goal. I have felt lately that i have not
been the best at talking to everyone. Thus i prayed for help and decided i
would talk to every single person. All the sudden people just were put into my
path to talk to! i felt so much more a missionary when i actually talked to
everyone, so now i just need to not slack off, to stay determined in my
goal!
It
is amazing though how as you make righteous goals and strive to achieve them
and pray for help. The lord will provide a way! (1 nephi 3:7) He commands us to
do hard things sometimes but we can always do it! i know that he is always
there to help us!
This
week i also discovered my new favorite scripture! 1 for the meaning, and 2
because i love eagles. its in Isaiah 40:31 and says....
31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength;they
shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
I
just love it because it shows that as you put your trust in the lord he will
bless you! he will strengthen you! he will allow you to acomplish any task he
gives you because he will renew your strenth!
I
just want to bear testimony that i know god does lift us and strengthen us. On
days when i have felt so tired from biking that i didnt think i could do it.
All that i had to do was say a small prayer and i felt rejuvenated and ready to
ride some more! The lord does watch over us! he does protect us and he does
renew us! as we pray for help he does answer our prayers and he does help us! I
know that we can run and not be weary and run and not faint. all through the
power of our god. He lifts us and protects us if we just have a particle of
faith enough to call out to him! HE LOVES US! I know that these things are true
and that this is the true church. I know that we are always watched out for :)
I
love you all so much. Please share your testimonies daily, they are the most
powerful tool to help others come unto christ. you 're all awesome!

p.s.
Please still go to mormon.org and mormonchannel.org and lds.org and search the videos to
share with your friends and family! the videos are awesome!! Let us all be
missionaries :)
I
did get a crock pot and i made pulled pork and it was awesome! tomorrow i am
probably making cafe rio stuff. Also, elder jackson is from California. As far
as spanish i really only speak like 25% spanish on an average day, but about
50% on sundays or when we have branch activities. Its coming along though! im
getting better every day :) I am healthy haha, i work out almost every morning
and dont often eat out, i eat as much fruit and vegetables as i can afford too
so im doing awesome :) The branch is really really nice! I love working with
them, theyre just all super busy!
